On Tuesday 8th November, seven Y10 GCSE PE students took part in the LTA Youth Leadership Day at the Nottingham Tennis Centre, this was an event to encourage participation in tennis, empowering girls aged 14+ to become leaders.
Throughout the day, individuals took part in various practical and theoretical workshops alongside students from other schools in the East Midlands. They represented the Academy with enthusiasm and engagement during the day, external coaches were impressed with their exemplary attitude and both Mr Morris and Miss Clark-Darby were extremely proud of them and their efforts throughout the day.
The girls received two nationally recognised qualifications as part of the day and their participation improved confidence, leadership and communication skills which they can apply to their academic studies going forward.
Congratulations to Tegan M, Jasmine O, Katie S, Gracie-Mai S, Ruby P, Maddison S and Ruby M – great work girls!
